About The Business:

Jim Bunton started Bunton Consulting Services 5 years ago after retiring from the University of Missouri-Columbia.  His tenure with the University was 35 years during which he served as the Director of the Budget and Assistant Vice Chancellor for Administration.

Jim works with people who want to start their own business—setting up their LLC or whatever status works best for their situation. 

He also works with established businesses who are looking for help in getting a handle on their existing business' budget, banking, insurance needs, etc. In this latter context he works with professionals in the appropriate industries and his own clients to move their business to the next level.

Jim is chair of the Finance Committee of the Hallsville United Methodist Church; on the Boone County National Bank - Hallsville Bank Board,  the Hallsville Chamber Board of Directors, a member of the City of Hallsville Board of Aldermen and a board member of the University of Missouri Retirees Association.

Jim has been a Hallsville resident for 48 years.  He and his wife, Barbara,  have two daughters: Melissa is married, lives near Kirksville and has 3 daughters. Michelle lives in St. Peters and is engaged to be married this fall.
